A quick update for PAP clients

We’ve made a few updates at Performance Animal Physiotherapy to better support horses receiving regular, ongoing physiotherapy — and to reward the clients who choose it. We've also updated our Terms of Business, including payment terms and methods, added a new appointment type and soon to be using a new client communication app. Please read the information below and then fill out our short form where you can register your interests and share any feedback you may have. New Communication System through Equigate App

We are starting the process of moving all communications, bookings, reports and invoicing through the Equigate App. Some of you may remember we tried this a few years ago but the app has come on significantly since and will now help streamline all communications and give you quick, clear access to your horse's appointments, reports and invoices. Download now and connect with us; https://app.equigate.com/connect/13320.

After you have signed up, please go to 'My Stuff' and add your horse's details, and your yard and billing addresses. You can then send us a message directly through the app.

Save money with an Annual Treatment Plan

Our Gold, Silver and Bronze Annual Treatment Plans are the most cost-effective way to keep your horse feeling and performing their best throughout the year. This is best suited after completing a Comprehensive Performance Assessment to help maintain health and performance consistently through the year.

You still receive the same gold-standard assessment and treatment at every visit, tailored to what your horse needs on the day. This may include templating, SLEIP gait analysis, electrotherapies such as INDIBA where appropriate, and exercise plan adjustments— a session that can be worth £100+ when booked individually, for as little as £60 per month on our Gold Plan.

  • Plans run for a minimum of 12 months to receive the discounted price. If you need to stop early, any sessions already completed will simply be recalculated at the normal single-session rate.

  • Travel isn’t included in plan pricing and is charged separately at each visit. This may vary depending on location or shared yard visits. Any additional time/services outside of standard appointment may be invoiced separately, either during or after the treatment package.

Prefer a Single Session?

Single (PAYG) sessions are still available but are always charged at the full standard rate with payment due at time of session. A deposit is required to secure your booking with card details held on file, or the option to sign up to GoCardless auto payments. All new horses are required to book an Initial Comprehensive Performance Assessment before being enrolled on a treatment plan.

Discounted rates are reserved exclusively for clients with Annual Treatment Plans, clients who pay upfront for a block of treatments, or supported yards and riders.

 
New appointment type now available - The Comprehensive Performance Assessment 

This includes a complete assessment of your horse's posture, gait and biomechanics, fit and influence of current tack, lunge and ridden assessment with gait analysis and pain scoring, musculoskeletal assessment and physiotherapy treatment, plus bespoke exercise and management suggestions.

New payment method

We are introducing a new payment method of secure and automated direct debit payments through GoCardless. This helps save missed invoices and late payments. No payment is taken without prior knowledge and consent.

 

An invoice will be issued at the time of your appointment to reflect the treatment provided and any travel charges. Payment can be made on the day by cash, card or bank transfer. If you do not pay on the day, you will be notified when we charge your bank automatically through GoCardless on your invoice due date (now updated to 3 days after issuing).

Annual Treatment Plans and GoCardless

Those wishing to sign up to Annual Treatment Plans will now be sent a link to sign up to the automatic payment schedule of your chosen plan through GoCardless. You will be charged your monthly fee as per your plan. Any additional charges at the time of your appointment (eg travel) will automatically be requested after the appointment.

 

If you already have a bank transfer standing order set up, you may keep this as your form of payment but you may wish to still sign up for GoCardless so any additional charges such as travel, can be automatically made on your behalf.

A quick reminder on cancellations

We understand that plans change, but please remember; (fees will be charged directly to your card on file or GoCardless payment authorised):

  • 48+ hours’ notice: no charge

  • Less than 48 hours: £20 fee

  • Less than 24 hours: £40 fee

  • ​Refusal of treatment at time of the appointment due to undiagnosed lameness/illness: £50 assessment fee plus travel charge.
