Last week we had the lovely Kim Mallett over to give Joey and Jonjo a treatment. I had no worries with Kim treating the horses as she had a great laid-back attitude towards them so they remained relaxed and enjoyed their treatment. Kim gave me some useful stretches and exercises (on the ground and while mounted) I can do to help to the ponies not only become looser but to engage their core and open up their back properly. Kim also gave me some good advice on when I should reflock my saddles to prevent a sore back. Thank you Kim for coming out to us and I look forward to a session next year!
Very grateful for the time Kimberley spent at my yard treating my three horses and a livery. Kimberley was as expected very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had and also explained what she was doing as she went along. I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a physio.
Thank you so much Kimberley
Excellent service today.
All our horses benefited from Kim’s visit.
"Clover had a little Christmas treat today with Kim taking a look at him. He loved it and I was able to learn a few things to keep him supple. Highly recommend."
Harry my son’s hunter has had a tough summer with injury. Kimberley came out last week and worked her magic - he absolutely loved it and was so much more relaxed after his treatment. Kimberley is professional, punctual and very thorough. Thank you - I will definitely be booking again.
After a thorough assessment of the horse, the treatment Kimberley provided was extremely objective, specifically tailored to help enhance Moneypenny’s way of going, to help us sustain a competitive season ahead. We were given a program of stretches for us to work on at home between treatments to help improve muscle flexion and suppleness with the goal being to help aid enhanced performance on a long term basis.
Kimberley worked on a variety of techniques to help relax and strengthen different muscle groups to improve mobility, and was not only extremely knowledgeable and professional but the service was provided with a smile, in a friendly and informative way, happily answering as many questions as I had throughout the horses treatment.
We were provided a comprehensive report following the treatment, and from realising the benefits physiotherapy provides to help maximise the horses potential and eliminate injury I look forward to working more with Kimberley, and can’t recommend her highly enough!
Watching the horse enjoy the treatment as she felt the immediate benefits says enough for me!
Kimberley is not only wonderful at what she does to the horse, but also so thorough with the owner. Having given me some exercises to do with my horse a few weeks ago, explaining how and why they'll help, I'm already seeing and feeling an improved walk and increased core muscles.
I can’t thank Kimberley enough for coming to give Slim his preseason checkup for me yesterday. Her attention to detail taught me so much! Who would have thought your saddle rack could be damaging you panels on your saddle and therefore cause pressure points on your horses back? I’ve always thought storing my saddle on a rack with bars supporting the panels would be the best but Kimberley showed me it had caused the flicking to build up in all the wrong places! Her calm soothing approach was seriously appreciated by my sensitive thoroughbred. The way Kimberley explained everything she did and the stretches I was given to work through with Slim, filled me with confidence, that everything I will be doing to help strengthen my horse has come from Kimberley’s invaluable experience. As I don’t have a school at home getting my horses fit and keeping them strong throughout winter can be difficult, but thankfully Kimberley has provided me with endless exercises, (half of which don’t even include being mounted!) that will help engage Slims core, and open up his back, without needing to go out of walk. We didn’t just get a treatment from Kimberley yesterday, we learnt how to store our tack to prevent upsetting the flocking in the panels, we learnt exercises to strengthen my horses core and back. Setting us up for a productive winter training!
Super impressed with Kimberley, she treated a couple horses on the yard and explained what she was doing. Both horses have felt super since and will definitely be having them done again.
Kimberley came to see Daisy last week and was exceptionally thorough and professional, she reassured me of some concerns that I had and gave me some exercises to work on.
